Quality, service, research and development are key factors in deciding what products we use in house and recommend for clients. Did you know AFE is highly respected in the off road world, including the famous Mint 400 and Baja 500 races held in Nevada/California/Mexico. Their name AFE – Advanced Flow Engineering speaks volumes about their dedication in the intake department.
We purposely abused a Gold 7R filter on our shop truck for 30 thousand miles to see if the filter would fail and collapse. The determination was no matter how caked with mud, dirt and debris stuck on the filter elements, the filter would not collapse nor fail like it’s competitors. What also struck surprise was the fact our truck did not see an increase in fuel mileage after performing the AFE recommended cleaning service. This tells us the filter still operates at a high efficiency range thus looking like we picked it up out of a mud puddle.
AFE offers three different filters based on planned usage of your truck. Just check out our interview with AFE to determine which filter best suits your style of driving.
